<p>Why do I get one of these error messages? Session Already Running; Session Timed Out - Requires Guest Access; HTTP 403 Forbidden; Access Denied; Login Loop</p><p><span id="bodyfont" style="font-family:Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"><p><strong><font size="2" face="Arial">ISSUE:</font></strong></p> <p><font size="2" face="Arial">When trying to access the online course system, users have reported the following error messages:</font></p> <ul> <li><font size="2" face="Arial"><strong>Session Already Running</strong></font></li> <li><font size="2" face="Arial"><strong>Session Timed Out - Requires Guest Access</strong></font></li> <li><font size="2" face="Arial"><strong>Login Loop (keep getting kicked back to the Institution Listing page)</strong></font></li> <li><span class="contentHead2"><font size="2" face="Arial"><strong>HTTP 403 Forbidden</strong></font></span></li> <li><span class="contentHead2"><font size="2" face="Arial"><strong>Access Denied</strong></font></span></li> <li><span class="contentHead2"><font size="2" face="Arial"><strong>There was an internal problem</strong></font></span></li> </ul> <p><strong><font size="2" face="Arial">RESOLUTION:</font></strong></p> <p><strong><font style="font-size: 12pt; color: #ff0000;" face="Arial">This problem may occur if a user already has another open window (or browser tab) containing a GeorgiaVIEW Vista session.  Do not open multiple browser windows while using Vista (this does not include pop-up windows which Vista may spawn).  Some Vista users attempt to open multiple browser windows for convenience, but this strategy may cause one of the aforementioned error messages.</font></strong></p> <p><font size="2" color="#0000ff" face="Arial"><strong>Tune Your Browser</strong></font></p> <font size="+0"> <p dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="Arial">Your browser settings will vary, depending on the browser you choose to use. There is a browser support site that will tell you exactly how to prepare your browser settings for your specific browser.  <font color="#ff0000"><strong>This is important so that all tools in your online course work properly.  <a href="http://www.usg.edu/usgweb/browserchecker/" target="_blank"></a><a href="http://www.usg.edu/usgweb/browserchecker/" target="_blank">Click here to go to the USG</a> Browser Checker</strong></font> .</font></p> </font> <p><font size="2" color="#0000ff" face="Arial"><strong>Internet Explorer Advanced Options</strong></font></p> <p><font size="2" face="Arial">Some users found that this problem could be resolved by changing an Internet Explorer setting:</font></p> <ol> <li><font size="2" face="Arial">In Internet Explorer, from the <em>Tools</em> menu, select <strong>Internet Options</strong>.</font></li> <li><font size="2" face="Arial">Click the <strong>Advanced</strong> tab.</font></li> <li><font face="Arial"><font size="2">Under <em>Browsing:</em></font></font> <ol> <li><font size="2" face="Arial">Check all boxes for <strong>Disable script debugging</strong> </font></li> <li><font size="2" face="Arial">Un-Check the box for <strong>Display a notification about every script error</strong> </font></li> <li><font size="2" face="Arial">Un-Check the box for <strong>Show friendly HTTP error messages</strong>.</font></li> </ol> </li> <li><font size="2" face="Arial">Click <strong>OK</strong>.</font></li> <li><font size="2" face="Arial">Restart the Internet Explorer browser.</font></li> </ol> <p><font size="2" color="#0000ff" face="Arial"><strong>Search Toolbars</strong></font></p> <p><font size="2" face="Arial">Search toolbars may cause this problem. Users have reported that this problem could be resolved by uninstalling search toolbars from Yahoo!, mySearch, AltaVista, Google, and other sites.</font></p> <p><font size="2" face="Arial">You may be able to uninstall a toolbar through the Windows Control Panel:</font></p> <ol> <li><font face="Arial"><font size="2">From the <em>Start</em> menu, select <strong>Settings</strong>, <strong>Control Panel</strong></font></font></li> <li><font face="Arial"><font size="2">Double-click <strong>Add/Remove Programs</strong></font></font></li> <li><font face="Arial"><font size="2">Locate the search toolbar, and click <strong>Change/Remove</strong></font></font></li> <li><font size="2" face="Arial">Follow the onscreen instructions.</font></li> </ol> <p><font size="2" face="Arial">For more information on uninstalling a program, refer to its documentation.</font></p> <p><font size="2" color="#0000ff" face="Arial"><strong>Try a Different Browser other than Internet Explorer</strong></font><font color="#0000ff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;"><font color="#000000"></font></span></font></p> <p><font color="#0000ff"><font color="#000000"><font size="2" face="Arial">For the most up-to-date browser support information, see the Browser Tuneup site at </font><a href="http://www.webct.com/tuneup"><font size="2" face="Arial">http://www.webct.com/tuneup</font></a><font size="2" face="Arial">.
