Instructions for Duplex Printing
If you would like to efficiently utilize your Pharos Print System printing account credits, print two-sided output. You can do this by choosing the appropriate option in the print dialogue. Since not all printers have the duplex printing option; you must find out whether or not it is available from the printer to which you are sending your print job. To use the duplex printing option from Microsoft Word, select Print from the File menu. When the Print dialog box appears, click the Preferences tab at the top right. Click the Preferences tab in the Print dialog box and review the options. If options such as print on both sides of the paper, duplex printing, or two-sided printing appear on any of the tabs, the printer probably supports automatic duplex printing. When the Printing Preference dialog box appears, click the Finishing tab from the tab options at the top of the box. Under Document Options put a check in the "Print on Both Sides" box. To further save your Pharos System printing account credits, click the arrow in the dropdown box under "Pages per Sheet" and choose one of the options for more than one page per sheet and click OK. You will next see the Pharos Notify popup box: **Note** that the box information will tell you how many pages you are printing and the cost. Duplex printing allows you to print 2 pages for a lower price. In the above example, two duplex pages are printed on one piece of paper for a cost of $0.12. If two separate pages had been printed, the cost would have been $0.16 for black & white pages.
